Armenia supports implementation of agreements reached over Iran's nuclear program – Nalbandian
Armenia supports the implementation of the agreements reached over the Iranian nuclear program, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said at today’s joint news conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.
“I briefed Mr. Zarif on Armenia’s efforts towards exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In this context, we appreciate Iran’s balanced, principled approach towards exclusively peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict,” Nalbandian said, summing up the outcome of the talks preceding the conference.
He noted the bilateral meeting addressed regional and international issues also reflecting on the fight against terrorism.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif visited Armenia on Tuesday at the invitation of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
The top Iranian official is also scheduled to hold meetings with President Serzh Sargsyan and Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan.
The Armenian and Iranian foreign ministers will next attend the opening ceremony of the Armenian-Iranian business forum.
