Prime minister tasks to clarify issuing procedure of certificate of origin of goods
At today’s Cabinet session, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan tasked to clarify the procedure of issuing a certificate of origin country of goods.
According to the prime minister, issuing the certificate of origin plays a key role in the exports sector, namely in granting privileges for customs payments.
“That is why it is especially important to carry out this procedure clearly and in a predictable way not to cause difficulties for law abiding businessmen,” Mr. Karapetyan said, adding the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently taking efforts towards introducing digital tools to issue those certificates electronically.
The relevant government members were instructed to come up with proposals on clarifying the issuing procedure of certificate of origin of goods and conducting expertise within one month.
