Representatives of Ukraine and Croatia lead the Tsaghkadzor Open
The Tsaghkadzor Open international chess tournament is nearing the end. The National Olympic Committee reports, Vitaly Bernandsky of Ukraine and Marin Bosiočić of Croatia lead the main Group A with six points each.
The representatives of Armenia Tigran Petrosyan (4thm Robert Hovhannisyan (5th), and Aram Hakobyan (8th) along with other five players trail the leaders with five points each, sharing the 3-10 places. The eighth round of the tournament is slated for today.
To note, the tournament will be held in A and B groups according to Swiss regulations and in 9 rounds in line with the FIDE Chess Rules. About 160 chess players from 17 countries, including 23 international grandmasters and 23 international and FIDE masters will compete for the title of the winner in the tournament.
