Artsakh soldier wounded in landmine explosion shows positive dynamics
Narek Hoveyan, a 19-year-old soldier wounded in a landmine explosion in Artsakh, remains in a grave condition meantime showing positive dynamics, deputy director of the Central Military Hospital of Armenian Defense Ministry, Artashes Khachatryan told Panorama.am.
“Narek remains under treatment at the intensive care unit, hooked up to a ventilator, however he is in a conscious state and has already come into contact,” the doctor detailed.
According to Artashes Khachatryan, the soldier has been wounded in both eyes and the head. Immediately after sustaining injuries, Narek was taken to hospital in capital Stepenakert, where one of his eyes was removed.
As reported earlier, Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Defense Army soldier Narek Hoveyan sustained shrapnel injuries in a landmine explosion in Artsakh on 21 November.
The blast that came around 6:35pm in a post of a north-eastern military unit also claimed the lives of three other servicemen – Gegham Zakaryan (22), Sargis Abrahamyan (19) and Sargis Melikyan, (20), the Artsakh Defense Ministry said.
