London Chess Classic: Aronian to face Karjakin in round three
Round two of the London Chess Classic, the concluding leg of the 2017 Grand Chess Tour, also ended with five draws, the National Olympic Committee said.
After two rounds, Ian Nepomniachtchi comes the first in the tournament, with Armenian chess grandmaster Levon Aronian holding the third place.
The Armenian chess star will face Sergey Karjakin of Russia in round three on Monday.
The other pairs of the round are Ian Nepomniachtchi-Fabiano Caruana, Magnus Carlsen-Viswanathan Anand, Michael Adams-Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Hikaru Nakamura-Wesley So.
London Chess Classic 2017 is a 10-player round robin featuring a prize fund of $300,000.
