Snow, blizzards hit roads in most regions of Armenia
Snow reportedly hit the roadways across Armenia’s Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Tashir, Noyemberyan, Charentsavan, Sevan, Hrazdan, Dilijan, Maralik, Artik, Akhuryan, Ashotsk, Ararat, Vayk, Jermuk, Sisian and Meghri districts as of 5:30pm December 6.
Snowstorms and thick fog have gripped the Ashtarak, Artashavan, Talin, Maralik, Artik and Akhuryan roads, as well as Vardenyats pass, the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reported.
The road crews carry out cleaning works with chemical salt and sand around the clock.
The drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving on the mentioned roads to avoid traffic jams and accidents.
All republican and interstate roads are open, the source added.
