Parliament speaker: Armenia ready to promote establishment of EU-EEU dialogue
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Ara Babloyan on Friday hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Armenia, Sorin Vasile, who paid a visit to the Armenian parliament upon completing his diplomatic mission in the country.
The top Armenian official documented that the generations of the Armenian Genocide survivors, who were granted asylum in Romania, today are dignified citizens of that country, the parliament’s press service reported.
Touching upon the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in Brussels in November the parliament speaker noted that Armenia, opening its doors to Europe and the EEU, is ready to promote the establishment of the EU-EEU dialogue.
Ara Babloyan also referred to the importance of the two countries’ cooperation on other international platforms and supporting each other.
Sorin Vasile touched upon the achievements recorded in the bilateral relations during his tenure in Armenia. The ambassador highlighted the commonalities of the two peoples’ value system and the historical destiny.
Sorin Vasile noted with joy that during the period of his mission he witnessed the development of democracy in Armenia.
Reflecting on the Armenia-EU cooperation agreement, the ambassador stated that a EEU member, Armenia has a big potential and opportunity to become a bridge between the EU and EEU.
