MP Artak Zeynalyan will run for president as the faction’s candidate for next year’s elections, with the relevant decision announced by Nikol Pashinyan, the head of Yelk bloc's parliamentary faction.
“It is my honor to inform you that the session of the Yelk bloc held a while ago made a decision to nominate MP Artak Zeynalyan, a member of Republic party’s political board as our presidential candidate,” Pashinyan wrote on Facebook, adding, “Yelk bloc will start talks with Tsarukyan alliance to ensure collection of one fourth of the signatures necessary for nominating Zeynalyan.”
