Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum introduces Virtual Orchestra for visitors
Alexander Spendiaryan house museum announced today new “My Orchestra” program. At the presentation held on Thursday, the director of the museum Marine Otaryan told reporters, the novelty is an interactive game in the form of audio-visual installation that allows the public to manipulate the micro and macro elements of a virtual orchestra.
Developed by the museum staff, the program is of educational nature.
After touring the museum and familiarizing with the works and the heritage of the composer, the visitors will check their knowledge of Spendiaryan’s works, the orchestra, the instruments included in it and their places.
To note the museum, which is the first musical memorial museum of Armenia features personal belongings, documents, correspondence and manuscripts of the composer, which represent the relationship of the composer with such prominent figures of culture, as Rimsky – Korsakov, A. Glazunov, C. Rachmaninoff, F. Chaliapin, M. Gorky, Anton Chekhov, N. Tolstoy, O. Tumanyan, M. Saryan, V. Surenyants. In the museum houses a manuscript score of the opera "Almast" and the only surviving poster Yerevan productions, which on January 20, 1933, was opened Armenian Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
