“Three Comrades” by Erich Maria Remarque published in Armenian
One of the masterpieces of world literature “Three Comrades” by Erich Maria Remarque has been translated into Armenia and published by Edit Print Publishing House., the novel was translated from German by Vanuhi Baghmanyan, the House reported in a release.
“War and peace, life and death, friendship and enmity, love and love… Yes, only the love knows no adversary - the love that made the heroes live, the love toward a friend, beloved, the other, and the life. Remarque showed in his novel that only death may break the ties of a loving couple and friends - in this world at least,” translator Baghmanyan remarked.
The book presentation will take place on December 16 at 16:00 at the National Children's Library named after Khnko Aper.
To note, “Three Comrades” is a novel by Erich Maria Remarque about young people who bear the traces of war in their hearts. The friendship of Robert Lohkamp, Otto Köster and Gottfried Lenz has been tempered in the field of war. Losing many dear people, seeing death, struggling for life, feeling pain and the fear in its supreme expression, these friends remain firmly connected – their memories, sufferings and fates are very much alike.
