Turkish Besiktas reportedly interested in signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Reports in Turkish media suggest the Istanbul-based Besiktas is keen to offer contract to the Manchester United midfielder and Armenian national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
“Kanalahaber” news outlet reports, the contract of Turkish club’s attacking midfield Anderson Talisca on loan from Portuguese club Benfica is expiring and it is suggested the Armenian is viewed as a possible replacement to the Brazilian.
To remind, Mkhitaryan has played just once since the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea on November 5 - a 19-minute came on in the clash with Brighton. Besiktas reportedly might act on trying to sign the Armenian winger, following United Manager Jose Mourinho admitted on Friday that he is open to selling Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Luke Shaw and other fringe members of his squad when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Earlier reports linked Mkhitaryan with a move to Borussia Dortmund, Mkhitaryan’s previous club, and Inter Milan.
