President Sargsyan to address PACE winter session
At its winter session to be held in Strasbourg from 22 to 26 January 2018, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will elect its President, a new Commissioner for Human Rights and also a European Court of Human Rights judge in respect of Spain, the PACE official website reported.
The PACE will be addressed by President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, HRH the Crown Princess of Denmark, the Danish Foreign Affairs Minister in the capacity of Chair of the Committee of Ministers, as well as the Prime Minister of Denmark and the President of Austria.
CoE Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland will present his communication, and Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muižnieks will present his last annual activity report for 2017.
To note, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited Strasburg and delivered a speech at the PACE session back in October 2013, when Armenia presided over the CoE Committee of Ministers.
