Drivers warned of black ice on some roads
Some roadways are partly icy in the territory of Armenia as of 9:00am December 20, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
Precipitation is predicted from time to time on the second half of December 20, on 21-23 in the most regions of the country.
According to the source, black ice has taken hold on some sections of Sotk-Karvachar highway and Vardenyats pass.
Snow is reportedly falling in Gyumri, Maralik, Artik towns (Shirak province) and Akhuryan village.
Based on the predicted unfavorable weather conditions, the drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the regions.
Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
