Deputy minister optimistic to conclude the year with over 7% economic activity index
The economic activity index (EAI) in Armenia in January-November 2017 made up 7.3 %, deputy minister of Economic Development and Investment Tigran Khachatryan told reporters on Thursday at a briefing.
In Khachatryan’s words, the leading sectors in the economy remain industry, services and trade. Namely, in the indicated period the industrial production volume rose by 12 %, while services and the trade rose by 14%. Khachatryan added the growth is registered influenced by high export volumes, that has amounted for 23% over the indicated period.
The official next pointed to another financially positive trend with construction volumes seeing slight increase, after the recorded long decline. He added the year will conclude with economic index activity over 7%.
