Snow reported in Jermuk town and certain sections of Saravan highway
Some roadways are partly icy in the territory of Armenia as of 16:00, December 23, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a release. According to the source, black ice is reported on certain sections of Sotq-Karvachar road and Vardenyats pass, while snow is reported in Jermuk town and “Zanger” section of Saravan highway.
Based on the predicted unfavorable weather conditions, drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the regions.
Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles with antiskid chains, except trucks with trailers.
