Stepantsminda-Lars road blocked with dozens of vehicles accumulated on Russian side
Some roadways are hardly passable in the territory of Armenia as of 09:00, December 25, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a release. According to the source, Sotk-Karvachar road is closed. Vardenyats pass is hardly passable. Snowstorm is observed on “Meghri Sar” section in Syunik region.
Based on the predicted unfavorable weather conditions, drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the regions.
Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles. According to latest data, more than 247 trucks, 32 passenger vehicles, and 3 buses are accumulated on the Russian side of the border.
