Naregatsi Art Institute (NAI) Shushi Center unveiled the exhibition of carpets woven in the frames of the "Artsakh Young and Child Carpet Makers" Project, the Union reported in a release.

The "Artsakh Young and Child Carpet Makers" project was launched in 2017, aimed to promote the employment of children in Shushi and adjacent regions, to provide young people with the opportunity to obtain craft. The carpet weaver specialists of the project were Sveta Arstamyan, Sose Amirjanyan, and Irena Tevanyan. The project was implemented in the period of July 1st till November 30 within the framework of the Grant Program provided for NGOs by the RA Presidential Staff and the competition announced by the Armenian Youth Foundation.

Under the project, within 5 months, the participants prepared more than 10 carpets with the help of the specialists, of which 3 were large, 2 medium and over 5 small carpets.

During the exhibition, the participants were working on smaller circles and presenting their work to the guests.

The Armenian National Dance Group transferred the national and cultural spirit to the audience through their invigorating dances of "Papuri", "Matsun em Ver Drel" and "Karno Kochari".

NAI Shushi center will continue to develop the art of carpet-making, and the classes of the group are open to everyone, with no age restrictions, the source said.
