First plane of the Ashgabat-Yerevan-Frankfurt flight landed at Zvartnots airport
The first plane of the Ashgabat-Yerevan-Frankfurt regular flight with 98 passengers on board landed on Wednesday at Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan. As the government-affiliated aviation department report, the Ashgabat-Yerevan flight was opened by the Turkmen airlines in September 2017. The new route linking the Turkmen and Armenian capitals with the business capital of Germany was announced to be a festive New Year gift to passengers
The Head of the General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia (GDCA) Sergey Avetisyan congratulated the colleagues on the occasion of the launch of the new flight, pointing to the positive effects of every new flight to Yerevan. He also noted that the flight was long-awaited and negotiated.
The head of Turkmenhovaellary, the national air carrier of Turkmenistan, on his part expressed hope for the long-term operation of the route.
To remind, the flight will be operated once in a week on Wednesdays.
