Turkish courts sentence 27 people to prison over Gulen links
The courts of the southern and southeastern provinces of Turkey have given a prison sentence to 27 people over alleged links to opposition cleric Fethullah Gulen, RIA Novosti reported citing the state-run Anadolu news agency.
Among the imprisoned are two lawyers, who were sentenced to 10 and 12 years in prison respectively. Former Adana police chief was given 9 years of prison term, with seven people sentenced to 3-9 years in jail.
15 others were handed over 1-9 years of prison term, with two detainees sentenced to 6-9 years in jail.
