Armenian parliament speaker meets with servicemen ahead of New Year
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) Ara Babloyan and the NA Chief of Staff-Secretary General Ara Saghatelyan on Friday visited a military unit and Garrison Military Hospital of the Armenian Ministry of Defense in Gegharkunik province ahead of New Year and Christmas celebrations.
Karen Botoyan, the head of Gegharkunik province, accompanied the parliament speaker.
Congratulating the soldiers on the upcoming holidays, Ara Babloyan thanked the servicemen, who facing the adversary ensure the peace of our country, the parliament’s press service reported.
The top Armenian official noted that the guarantors of the country’s security are the border guys, who keep the borders of Armenia inaccessible at the expense of their life.
Within the framework of the visit to the Military Hospital, Ara Babloyan took a tour in the territory, familiarized himself with the living conditions and got interested in the servicemen’s health. The Head of the Hospital Military-Medical Department, Lieutenant-Colonel Gayane Khachatryan presented the existing possibilities of the hospital and the procedure of the medical service organization to Ara Babloyan.
The servicemen received New Year gifts from the parliament speaker.
