Fog hits Yerevan-Yeraskh highway
Black ice has reportedly taken hold on some roads in the territory of Armenia as of 9:00am January 9, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
No precipitation is expected in the country on 9-8 January and 12 January, while light precipitation is predicted in Lori, Tavush, Syunik and Artsakh with fog expected in some places.
According to the source, black ice has coated some sections of Vardenyats pass and Sotk-Karvachar highway.
Fog has descended over Yerevan-Yeraskh highway.
The drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the regions.
The Emergency Situations Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the general department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of North Ossetia report that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles
