Armenia's ministry of transport, communication and information technologies told Panorama.am that as of 09:15 January 10 black ice is observed on certain roadways in the territory of Armenia. According to the source, no precipitation is predicted for January 8-9. 12. Low precipitation and fog in separate places is predicted in Lori, Tavush, Syunik, Artsakh on January 10-11.
Vardenyats pass is closed. Clear ice is observed on certain sections of Sotk-Karvachar road. The drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the regions.
According to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the general department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of North Ossetia, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles.
