Armenia’s electricity generation up 4.9% in January-November 2017
A total of 6937.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were produced in Armenia in January-November 2017, up by 4.9% to compare with the same period of 2016, Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS) reported.
According to the NSS figures, in January-November, the electricity generation at terminal power plants grew by 11.5%, amounting to 2488 million kilowatt-hours.
Electricity production volumes at hydropower plants cut down by 3.5%, totalling to 2099.7 million kilowatt-hours.
In the indicated period, Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) produced 2347.9 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, securing a 6.4% rise over January-November 2016.
To note, electricity generation at Armenia’s solar power plants made up 0.1 million kilowatt-hours within the eleven months of 2017.
