Some roadways difficult to pass in Armenia
Some roadways are difficult to pass in the territory of Armenia as of 10:00am January 16, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
On 16-19 January, in most regions from time to time light precipitation is predicted, with wind intensification up to 15-20 m/s possible in separate places. No precipitation is predicted in the country on January 20.
According to the source Sotk-Karvachar highway is hardly passable.
Black ice has taken hold on some sections of Vardenyats pass and Sisian-Kapan highway.
The drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the regions.
According to the information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and the general department of the Republic of North Ossetia of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
