Mikayel Mikayelyan says proud to represent Armenia at Winter Olympics
Armenian Skier Mikayel Mikayelyan, who came winner in all events of the Armenian Open Ski Championship held in Ashotsk from January 12 to 14, gained his final points ahead of the Winter Olympics.
As the National Olympic Committee (ANOC) reported, the 18-year-old is the most likely candidate to represent Armenian at PyeongChang 2018.
“I am in great mood filled with high motivation. Proud to represent Armenia at the Winter Olympics,” ANOC press service quoted the skier as saying. Mikayelyan added he was due to participate in the World Youth Ski Championships which will enable the young athlete to gain experience ahead of the major tournament.
