PM: 2018 will be breakthrough for Artsakh economy
An investment project worth more than $100 million will launch in Martakert, Artsakh Republic PM Arayik Harutyunyan announced today at a briefing with reporters in capital Stepanakert.
“2018 will be breakthrough in terms of economic development with expected growth in all spheres,” the PM noted, summing up the results of the past year and outlining the priorities for the ongoing one.
The state minister detailed that the growth registered in mining industry was achieved mainly due to productivity of Base Metals CJSC.
“Apart from that, there are programs underway in nonmetal industry sector, the stone construction and export to point the one. An investment project worth $100 million will soon launch in Sarsang-Mataghis area with involvement of local and foreign companies. The project implies construction of reservoirs to be exploited for energy generation purposes as well as for fishery and tourism,” Harutyunyan said.
The PM next pointed to number of programs to be implemented in agriculture sector, including installment of modern irrigation systems, gardening, cereal farming, cattle breeding and development projects other relevant sectors.
