Bulgarian envoy welcomes Armenian society’s high expectations from new deal with EU
The Embassy of Bulgaria to Armenia will enable to present the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in Armenia and to further contribute to the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between Armenia and the European Union, Bulgarian Ambassador to Armenia Maria Pavlova Tsosorkova-Kaymaktchieva told a news conference on Wednesday.
The conference hosted by Yerevan, Armenia, focused on the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The Bulgarian envoy noted the Armenian institutions are already taking efforts towards implementing the points of the new Armenia-EU deal.
“I am greatly impressed with the Armenian society’s high expectations from that agreement and the positive debates held in the Armenian parliament over the reached agreement,” she said.
Bulgari assumed the Presidency of the EU Council for the first time on 1 January 2018. The presidency of the EU Council rotates among the EU member states every six months.
