Six shooters to represent Armenia at Munich int’l tournament
The Armenian shooting teams will leave for the Munich international tournament marking the beginning of the 2018 season. The Armenian athletes are currently holding trainings in capital Yerevan, the press service of the National Olympic Committee reported.
“Our key purpose is to gain good shape and experience ahead of the European Championships. This year, the continental championship is especially important for our junior competitors, since it will function as qualification for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires,” head coach of the team Seyran Nikoghosyan told the committee’s press service.
Hrach Babayan, Hayk Babayan, Narek Adamyan, Mariam Mikaelyan and Alla Poghosyan will represent Armenia in the rifle-shooting event.
Benik Khlghatyan is the only Armenian shooter to compete in the pistol event.
The tournament will be held from 24 to 27 January.
