Criminal case opened over Azerbaijani shooting of Armenian soldier
A criminal case has been initiated in the Sixth Garrison Investigative Unit of the General Military Investigative Department of Armenia’s Investigative Committee on the shooting of Armenian contract soldier, Private Adibek Mikoyan by the Azerbaijani military.
According to initial data released by the Investigative Committee, Adibek Mikoyan sustained a firearm injury in the upper third of the right thigh as a result of the Azeri shooting while carrying out engineering works at a military base of the Armenian defense ministry on Wednesday. The soldier is hospitalized.
The Sixth Garrison Investigative Unit has opened a criminal case under the requirements of Part 2 (Point 13) of Article 34-104 of Armenia’s Criminal Code. All the necessary investigative measures are being taken to reveal all the circumstances of the incident.
