Snow, snowstorm hit some roads in Armenia
Snowfall is reported on the roads of Talin, Akhuryan, Ashotsk, Aparan, Spitak, Vanadzor, Abovyan, Hrazdan and Sevan regions, as well as Dilijan turns as of 17:30 January 18, the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reported.
According to the source, snowstorm has hit Aparan-Alagyaz highway reducing visibility to 40-50 meters. Vardenyants pass is closed due to blizzards and low visibility.
Cleaning works with chemical salt and sand are underway along the roads.
All the other interstate and republican roads in the territory of Armenia are passable, the ministry added.
