Armenian delegation to attend WCIT 2018 as the country prepares to host the major tech event in 2019
The Armenia delegation is set to attend the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) 2018 to be held in India, Hyderabad on February 19 - 21. As our country is preparing to host the biggest tech event in 2019, a consultation with the representatives if the IT sector was held at the ministry of transport, communication, and information technologies to discuss the scheduled meetings, the participation format and technical issues of the participation.
As the ministry release reads, Armenia will be represented in the event at a state level with Transport and Communication Minister Vahan Martirosyan, representatives of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises of Armenia, telecommunication operators and IT companies included in the delegation.
To note, The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) is the largest and the most reputable international event among worldwide IT leaders.
It brings together high-level officials from different countries, heads of multinational organizations, universities and scientific research centers, non-governmental organizations’ representatives and many more.
The event includes discussions of legal, political and economic trends affecting IT business processes, presentations of innovative solutions, B2B meetings and so on. The WCIT has been held since 1978.
