President Sargsyan to pay working visit to France
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will depart for France on a working visit on 22-24 January. The president will visit Paris and Strasbourg, the presidential office told Panorama.am.
During the visit, President Sargsyan will have meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Senate Gérard Larcher, President of the National Assembly François de Rugy, as well as members of France-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group on 22 and 23 January.
The Armenian and French presidents will hold a joint press conference summing up the meeting outcome.
The Armenian leader will also meet with Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and the representatives of the Armenian community in Paris City Hall.
On January 24, Serzh Sargsyan is set to take part in the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, where he will deliver a speech and answer the MPs’ questions.
Serzh Sargsyan will also hold meetings with CoE Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland, President of European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) Guido Raimondi, President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (the Venice Commission) Gianni Buquicchio and the newly-elected PACE president.
