Tumo school to open in Paris – mayor
Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo met today with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in the Paris City Hall, which was followed by a meeting with the representative of the Frnech-Armenian community. The French official welcomed the Armenian president and the guests, noting such meetings give a new impetus to the Armenian-French relations.
As the correspondent of Panorama.am reported from Paris, Anne Hidalgo touched upon the important events on the Armenian-French agenda throughout 2018, particularly highlighting the opening of an Armenian school in Paris, which will be the Tumo Center of Paris.
Hidalgo noted that she visited Yerevan in 2016 and was impressed by the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies.
“A center has been established in Yerevan which we want to duplicate,” the mayor said, adding the center will not be merely a school, but will stand as a symbol of the Armenian-French friendship.
Anne Hidalgo also noted a cooperation is underway with the Armenian community to establish the house of Armenian culture.
She also pointed out the XVII Summit of La Francophonie and the 2800th anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan, promising to attend one of these events.
