176 girls vaccinated against papillomavirus in Armenia
A total of 176 teenage girls have been vaccinated against human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in Armenia starting from December 11, 2017 as part of a program launched by Armenia’s Health Ministry aimed at reducing the cervical cancer risk.
None of them has experienced any adverse reactions after receiving the vaccine, the ministry said, adding the World Health Organization has named localized pain as the most common post-vaccination side effect.
The ministry reminds that the HPV vaccination is aimed at preventing cervical cancer in the country.
