Armen Sargsyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom and the candidate of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) for Armenia’s next president, has departed for London to hold a series of pre-planned meetings.

The Ambassador’s office told ARMENPRESS, adding Mr. Sargsyan will return to Armenia at the end of the week.

Earlier the RPA announced its decision to nominate the candidacy of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Armen Sargsyan for the upcoming presidential elections.

Armen Sargsyan had a meeting with President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday, during which he agreed to hold meetings with political forces as well as discussions with representatives of broad strata of the society before making his final decision.
