Khachaturian Concert Hall to host “Thank You, Armenian Soldier” charity concert
Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan, Armenia will host a charity concert as a tribute to the Armenian soldiers heroically defending the borders of the homeland on 24 January, at 7:00pm. The concert titled “Thank You, Armenian Soldier” is organized at the initiative of “Dirkapah” (Border Guard) Union of the Participants of the Four-Day April War NGO in cooperation with Armenia’s Ministry of Culture and popular Armenian singers.
In an interview with Panorama.am, Manuel Manukyan, the head of the NGO, said that idea of the concert was born when he, together with Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan and a group of singers paid a visit to the rehabilitation centre being constructed for the disabled soldiers, where the minister met with their parents.
“We, the “Dirkapah” guys, teamed up with the minister to organize such a concert and to direct all the proceeds to the boys’ rehabilitation centre. Among the attendees will be the wounded boys, who have a say, as well as their parents and the parents of the fallen soldiers,” he said.
The tickets of the concert are not sold out yet with some 600-700 tickets still available. The cost of the tickets range from 2,000 to 7,000 AMD.
