All processes in Armenia on the right track – CoE Sec Gen
“Armenia already has a new Constitution, elections have been held, all the processes are on the right track. We have an extensive cooperation,” Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland told a briefing today in Strasbourg following talks with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
As the correspondent of Panorama.am reports from Strasbourg, Mr Jagland said the meeting with the Armenian president was interesting, thanking Serzh Sargsyan for joining a number of CoE conventions, which is 'the result of a good job' according to the European official.
To note, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian signed today five CoE documents at the Council of Europe, namely the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, Additional Protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism, Convention on Cinematographic Co-Production and the CoE Convention on an Integrated Safety, Security and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events.
