Implementation of Armenia-EU agreement may start in May or June - Edward Nalbandian
The Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the European Union is a major milestone for Armenia, the country's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated today at a press conference in Yerevan.
"Today we are focused on the ratification process of that important framework document. The Republic of Armenia has announced it has taken measures to ratify the agreement till April. Yet we look ahead a step forward and hope the EU partners will ratify that without obstacles," Nalbandian said.
The foreign minister added, Armenia's ratification would lead to the implementation of the agreement. "It is possibly to start [the implementation] from May 1 or June 1," Nalbandian concluded.
