Heads of Armenian, Swiss parliaments attend opening of new factory of “Avan Salt Plant”
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Ara Babloyan and President of the National Council of Switzerland Dominique de Buman on Monday attended the opening of the new factory of “Avan Salt Plant" CJSC.
The project was implemented thanks to the joint efforts of Armenia and Switzerland, with the German side also having its input in the project, the parliament’s press service reported.
The Armenian and Swiss officials toured the territory of the factory and familiarized themselves with the working process and conditions.
Congratulating on another successful Armenian-Swiss project, Ara Babloyan said the event is yet another clear expression of the developing relations between the two countries and the activation of business ties.
“The participation of our Swiss partners in Armenia's economic life shows that there are favorable conditions for doing business and implementing business projects in our country,” he said, stressing the Armenia-Switzerland business meeting hosted by Yerevan on Monday will lay a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two states.
Mr Dominique de Buman thanked on behalf of the Swiss delegation for the implementation of the joint Armenian-Swiss project.
After the solemn opening ceremony of the new factory of “Avan Salt Plant”, the president of the Swiss National Council took part in the Armenia-Switzerland business talks.
