Armenian wineries take part in Prodexpo 2018 in Moscow
13 Armenian wineries are taking part in the 25th jubilee edition of the International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials – Prodexpo 2018 taking place in Moscow, Russia on February 5-9.
The initiative is supported by the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a press release.
The Armenian companies exhibit their products in a single pavilion at this major annual expo for the second time already.
“With its production, Armenia enjoys quite a high demand in the Russian market, which is one of the main directions for the exports of our wines. Thanks to the unique high-quality wines, the Foundation, jointly with the companies, plans to further strengthen and expand its positions in the Russian market. In addition, this exhibition is a perfect platform to find a way though to new international markets,” Zaruhi Muradyan, the executive director of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, said.
The Armenian pavilion caused great interest attracting a big flow of visitors.
The winemaking companies are looking forward to new cooperation proposals and profitable contracts.
An estimated number of 2,200 exhibiting companies from more than 62 countries are taking part in the expo. The event is expected to attract some 70,000 visitors.
