President Sargsyan receives OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs
President Serzh Sargsyan received today OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Andrew Schofer (USA), Stefan Visconti (France) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk. As the press department at the President's Office reported, the Co-Chairs briefed the President of Armenia on the meetings held in Baku.
President Sargsyan drew the attention of the Co-Chairs to recent statements coming from Baku, noting those come to demonstrate once again how far Azerbaijan is from its commitment to move forward the Nagorno Karabakh peace talks based on the proposals of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs as well as show how Azerbaijan responds to continuous calls of the Co-Chairs to prepare societies for peace.
According to the release, the parties highlighted the parties' commitment toward the peaceful settlement of the conflict as well as the need to implement the agreements reached at Vienna, St. Petersburg and Geneva summits. The Co-Chairs informed the President about their upcoming working plans.
President Sargsyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to joining the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs' efforts aimed at settling the conflict through peace negotiations, the release said.
