Snow reported on number of roads in Armenia
Snow has hit the roadways in Talin, Maralik, Artik, Ashotsk, Ashtarak, Yeghvard, Spitak, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Tumanyan, Diijan, Tavush Noyemberyan, Sevan, Gavar, Martuni, Ararat, Sisian, Goris and Meghri regions as of 9:30am February 19, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and ITs reported.
According to the source, Vardenyats pass is closed due to blizzard and low visibility. The road crews maintain all-day control over, carrying out cleaning works with chemical salt and sand.
All interstate and republican roads in the territory of Armenia are passable, the ministry added.
According to the information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the general department on the Republic of Northern Ossetia of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles.
