Presidential candidate Armen Sarkissian meets with Belgian Armenians
Armen Sarkissian, the candidate for president of Armenia nominated by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), continues to hold meetings with representatives of political forces, national institutions, non-governmental organizations and individuals.
Mr Sarkissian, who is serving as the Armenian Ambassador to the UK, on Monday met with the representatives of the Armenian community of Belgium in Brussels as part of his visits to the Armenian communities abroad, his office told Panorama.am.
The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of nearly two dozen community organizations and structures in Belgium.
The Belgian Armenians also briefed Armen Sarkissian on their vision and views on Armenia’s future and touched upon pan-Armenian problems, as well as the involvement of the Diaspora in various programs.
Presenting his vision on the future of Armenia, Mr Sarkissian named the development and modernization of education as a key priority. He also discussed Armenia-Diaspora relations, highlighting a more effective and mutually beneficial cooperation.
