The report disseminated in Sputnik-Estonia that during the "Diplomat Cup" football tournament 'Georgian and Armenian diplomats were close to fighting' is disinformation that reached Georgian, Armenian information spaces as well as in Azerbaijan, Armenia's Ambassador to Estonia   wrote on Facebook.

In the Ambassador Mkrtchyan's words, no Armenian diplomat participated in this match.

"Even though this tournament has the attractive appellation of "Diplomat Cup", most of the participating teams include representatives of local communities. In the above-mentioned match Armenia's team was represented by members of our beloved Estonian-Armenian community (by the way, they are the winners of the last year's tournament). Meanwhile, there was only one Georgian diplomat in our friendly Georgia's team," Mkrtchyan wrote, adding whatever happened 'was exchange of critical remarks addressed at one another, something very common in football, which was quickly resolved."
