Strandja-2018: Another Armenian boxer overcomes the first stage
Two representatives of Armenia's boxing team competed on Tuesday at 69th International Boxing Tournament "Strandja" in Sofia, Bulgaria underway from February 18-26. As Armenia's National Olympic Committee reported, boxer Gurgen Hovhannisyan (91+kg) won the bout against an athlete from Bulgaria, while Jirayr Sargsyan (56kg) lost to a Spanish boxer.
Earlier Armenia's Vahe Badalyan claimed victory in the 53 kg weight class.
According to the source, three other Armenian boxers are poised to compete today.
