The Artsakh people right to live freely on their historical land at the basis of Karabakh settlement - President Sargsyan
The right of the people of Nagorno Karabakh to live freely on their historical land should be at the basis of the conflict settlement, whatever the solution of the conflict will be, Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan stated today at a joint press conference with President Michel Aoun of Lebanon in Yerevan.
To note, President Michel Aoun is paying official visit to Armenia.
"I briefed the President of Lebanon the recent developments of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process. Our unequivocal belief is that there can be no solution that would derail the right of the Artsakh people to live in their free and sovereign motherland," the President added.
Speaking of the process of the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, President Sargsyan stressed that 100 years have passed since those events yet there are historical events
and feeling of gratitude that do not have expiration date.
"Once again, I expressed gratitude to the Lebanese people and the its leadership for accepting the survivors of the Armenian Genocide during the tragic period of our history and for granting an opportunity to live and create. I am grateful that today Lebanon stands with us in efforts to condemn and prevent that crime." President Sargsyan said.
