Armenia welcomes Lebanon’s position on Artsakh conflict settlement – minister
Armenia highly appreciates the position of Lebanon on the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conflict settlement, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told reporters on Thursday.
“That stance is in support of the efforts and approaches of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, and the respective positions of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs are known,” FM Nalbandian said.
The top Armenian official highlighted Lebanon supports the exclusively peaceful settlement of the Artsakh conflict based on the proposals made by the Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
Commenting on the ongoing visit of Lebanese President Michel Aoun to Armenia, Minister Nalbandian stated it will affect the further development of bilateral relations.
“We have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations with Lebanon, and there is a desire from both sides to further enhance and deepen them,” Edward Nalbandian said.
