Turkish forces strike humanitarian aid convoy entering Afrin - local media reports
The Turkish Armed Forces fired several missiles towards a humanitarian convoy that was entering the Afrin region. local media reported. According to a military source, the humanitarian convoy was entering the Afrin region through the Ziyarah Crossing, when it was struck by the Turkish Army's grad missiles.
The source added that several trucks were badly damaged and many aid workers were injured as a result of this attack.
To remind, the ongoing bombardment and shelling of the Syria;s Afrin region have devastated numerous villages and towns in the Kurdish-held enclave, with civilians bearing the brunt of the Turkish assault. The violence has left hundreds of civilians dead or injured, and thousands more displaced.
