Dutch FM says Turkey's reaction to the Armenian Genocide bill predictable
Dutch Foreign Minister Sigrid Kaag has called Turkey's reaction to the parliament's vote to recognize the Armenian Genocide during the Ottoman Empire as 'predictable.'
In the minister's words there is no point to comment on Turkey's reaction: "There is no need to react to reaction that followed to other reactions," local sour e quotes the minister as saying.
To remind, Turkey condemned the Armenian Genocide resolution that received overwhelming support from Dutch lawmakers. The country's foreign ministry said in a written statement that the decision was not legally binding or valid, and noted that the Dutch government had said it would not become the official policy of the Netherlands.
