Presidential candidate Armen Sargsyan visits Mekhitarist Congregation at St. Lazarus Island
Candidate of the ruling RPA for Armenia's forth president, Ambassador of Armenia to the United Kingdom Armen Sargsyan visited on February 21 Mkhitarian Congregation at the St. Lazarus Island in Venice.
As Panorama.am learn from the press service of the candidate, accompanied by monks of the Congregation Vahan Hovakimyan and Narek Daduryan, Armen Sargsyan toured the congregation and the 400-year old museum, got acquainted with the rich collections of items gathered and preserved for centuries, ancient manuscripts and magazines as well as familiarized with one of the oldest publishing houses of Europe and the long history of its cooperation with the Imperial Palace.

During the tour, Armen Sargsyan met and conversed with High Representative of Mekhitarist Congregation of Venice, one of the greatest Armenologysts of our times Archbishop Lévon Zékiyan.
